Cafe astrologyCafeastrology is the name given to a website dreamed up by a pair of free spirits known as Anne Heese and Adam Banks. Anne is originally trained as an accountant, but has long since given up that career in favor of pursuing her strong interest in things astrological. She has been interested in the subject since the age of twelve, and often reads astrological books just for the fun of it. Adam Banks is a writer and computer programmer which aptitude for lateral thinking helped to take the concept of CafeŠ Astrology from idea to web page. The project was dreamed up as a web page where both learners and experts would each be welcomed and encouraged; where knowledge could be acquired and shared. There is a wealth of information on the pages of the web site for CafeŠ Astrology. For example there is the book reviews. Each review is written by Anne, and reflects books and thoughts on the book in question. No canned presentations or trite thoughts and statements for Anne. Her astrological make-up means she wants to be fair and kind yet help visitors to Cafe Astrology select just the books that will be most helpful to the visitor. The articles on the site are largely written by Anne Heese, and range from subjects like "How to Obtain a Natal Horoscope" to "Notes and Guidelines for Interpreting the Composite Chart". The subjects are wide ranging, and the presentation is simple and clear. Another significant part of the web site is the "Ask Annie" pages. Readers are invited to write in with natal information and have questions answered from an astrological standpoint. This information goes far beyond the "Dear Abby" level of expertise and writing. The answers to the questions rely on an above average understanding of astrology, charts and astrological principles. A person might need an above average reading level to understand the responses. Much of the biographical material is presented from the standpoint of the astrological signs of the participants, and it is true that the concept and formats probably would not have been created in the same way by people who were different in make-up than Heese and Banks One of the very pleasant aspects of the CafeŠ Astrology is the fact that there is limited to no outside advertising on the site. There are not the annoying pop-up's, limited banners, and very little of the clutter that is routine for many other astrology sites.
